“My family provide oranges and bergamots to school meals in Novo Cabrais/RS and, when there are problems that affect the production of these fruits, we use homeopathy to solve the problems. We came to know about this solution when a fruit fly infestation hit our citrus orchard in 2021. My father contacted the local Emater office in search of advice and, on the basis of this contact, we discovered that we could use homeopathy, a medical system based on the belief that the body can cure itself, thus avoiding the need for pesticides. We learned that this technique works in a simple form, and we started to apply homeopathy whenever there it is necessary to correct some imbalance in the production of fruits, legumes and vegetables.
When we were asked at the Entrepreneurship and Rural Management course to prepare a research project, I opted for going deep into the studies on homeopathy when it comes to finding a cure for vegetables, so that I could share my knowledge with the group and the educators.
Although rather unknown, homeopathy is very interesting, it works in people, animals, plants, water and soil and is beneficial to people’s health and to the environment. In plants, for example, if the fruits or vegetables are not growing, there is homeopathy to solve this problem.
At the Annual Meeting of the apprentices, I presented the homeopathy subject to all the 2023 groups, Institute team and supporters. This was possible because the course I took as young apprentice improved my communication capacity. Before joining the course, I was shy, hated to speak in public and I did not like being the center of attention. All this I improved throughout the course, because the activities carried out during the course changed our mind for the better, opened our eyes and transformed us into protagonists of our lives”.
