Agro is everything
“With the certainty that it is possible to prosper in agro, I am planning to build my life based on rural activities. I believe that the rural sector will continue to be of fundamental importance 10 or 20 years from now, and for much longer time, because agro is everything. At the moment, I am in the third grade of high school, and I intend to continue my education, possibly in a college course focused on the rural sector.
I have always loved the rural area and I spot a great potential in the rural setting. Something that made me even more enthusiastic about this path was the fact that I attended the course of the Growing-Up Right Institute, arousing my interest for the achievement of more knowledge and showing things I had never known about agriculture. In the Entrepreneurship and Rural Management course, I acquired several intellectual achievements like, for example, the importance of family farming for the world and especially the high value of the rural setting.
It was as an apprentice at the Growing-Up that I devised the diversification project for my family, at present, producing watermelons. I projected the cultivation of organic vegetables, plan that has already come into force, a fence was installed around the place, along with an irrigation system. The idea is for the vegetable project to start before the end of this year. As we did not have any type of financial incentive, putting the project in practice was more difficult and took longer. However, we are doing our best in the search of a new source of income”.”
